On World Cancer Day, Plus Therapeutics proudly joins the global oncology community to raise awareness of cancer and reaffirm a shared commitment to improving access to high‑quality, equitable care for patients worldwide.
Established in 2000 by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), World Cancer Day serves as a unifying moment—bringing together patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and advocates around a common goal: to reduce the global burden of cancer and ensure that treatment and care are available to all, regardless of geography or circumstance.
Advancing Innovation for Patients with High Unmet Needs
At Plus Therapeutics, this mission closely aligns with our focus on developing innovative therapies for patients facing some of the most challenging cancers, particularly those affecting the central nervous system (CNS). Cancers that spread to or originate in the brain and spinal cord often come with limited treatment options and poor prognoses, underscoring the need for continued research and innovation.
Our work centers on advancing targeted radiotherapeutic approaches and generating meaningful clinical data to help improve outcomes for patients with significant unmet medical needs.
Commitment Through Clinical Research
As part of our efforts, Plus Therapeutics is actively conducting clinical trials in indications where progress is urgently needed, including:
- Leptomeningeal Metastases (LM)
- Recurrent Glioblastoma (GBM)
These trials reflect our commitment to thoughtful, patient‑centered clinical development and our belief that rigorous science is essential to advancing new treatment options.

A Shared Responsibility
World Cancer Day is a reminder that meaningful progress against cancer requires collaboration across disciplines and sectors—from scientific discovery and clinical research to advocacy, education, and patient support. It also reinforces the importance of ensuring that innovation translates into access, so that advances in care can reach the patients who need them most.
At Plus Therapeutics, we remain committed to working alongside the broader oncology community to help move cancer care forward, with a focus on science, compassion, and impact.
Together, we continue the work—on World Cancer Day and every day—to improve outcomes for patients and families affected by cancer.
