SPECIALTIES: NEUROONCOLOGY, NEUROLOGY

“I am a neuro-oncologist who specializes in treating patients with brain and spine tumors, particularly high- and low-grade gliomas. I’ve seen the hardship that patients and their families face day to day, and the desire to help them is something that I’ve been passionate about since college and inspired me to work in this field. There are very few diseases that impact a person as significantly as brain tumors. I am privileged to be able to help these patients and their families in their journey against this disease, but I know that we still have a long way to go to finding a cure. I want to be part of the community that eventually brings a solution to help people who are suffering from this disease. In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in several research projects and serve as an assistant professor in the Division of Neuro-Oncology at The Ohio State University. I am a strong believer of the axiom, “First do no harm,” and this has been a principle that I’ve followed since finishing my medical training. It’s important that we not only provide patients with the best treatment but also place equal focus on quality of life. At the OSUCCC – James, my team is comprised of a group of specialists from different disciplines who all work toward this mutual goal. There’s a strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration and the opportunity to be on the forefront of new treatments, and that’s exciting.”
